When nature’s impact on the finished product has such an intense tie to the product, it is imperative to manage organic materials with the respect they deserve.  Woodrich does not utilize logs grown with the intent to sell, but rather seeks out urban logs that have become deceased or that are in declining health. This is our holistic approach to providing a second life to each tree. Nature’s beauty is differentiated with the uniqueness found in each tree used. Every tree's history creates unique character, color, shape, and size to create a highly individualized personality. The individuality in each piece provides for significant product differentiation and allows the work to stand alone as a piece of art. In a world of automation, we believe in controlling the process through manual craftsmanship, which means handling the piece from tree to table. This allows for us to honor each tree’s individual inherent value, accentuating nature's beauty with our craftsmanship.
