Swinger Retrofit Kit

The Swinger Retrofit Kit is a great addition to the MGM Swinger target! This kit comes with a few items that will keep you practicing and NOT fixing your gear!  When you order the Swinger Retrofit kit, you get a bearing shield (in case you have a “near miss”) 1/4″ AR550 Arms, two 8″ target plates, and all the rest of the necessary parts needed to upgrade your swinger!  Now instead of just shooting moving paper, you can shoot moving plates! Another cool feature of this kit is you can still use it as a cardboard target swinger without any changes!  To make this a “lifetime product”, we chose to use an industrial grade pillow block with greaseable bearings. This will give the target an incredibly long life, and an incredibly long swing time! Grease the bearing a couple times a year and it should last indefinitely. The moving force on the Swinger Target is a 25 pound counter weight. The position of the counter weight is adjustable to allow you to change the target response. It won’t be an incredible difference, but it will be noticeable and any variance increases challenge. The shooter starts the movement by shooting the included HEXALLOY 550 HEXPlate trigger plate activator. This video shows the activator plate being shot with a shotgun. Please note, the Swinger Target now comes with one HEXALLOY 550 HEXPlate activator plate as shown. You must buy your own 1″X2″ inch wood furring strips from the local hardware store to complete the target and have a surface to staple your cardboard targets to as shown in the picture.
