Sweet Auralite Violet Flame Pendant

This lovely 1.75 inch tall, 11 gram Sweet Auralite Violet Flame Pendant from Canada is remarkably translucent. This stone features a rare hexagonal zone of deep purple and varying shades of violet amethyst with smaller patches of golden citrine and glowing rutile or titanium filaments. You'll also find an array of visible darker inclusions indicating the presence of other minerals. Auralite is a relatively new stone from far Northern Canada which is said to contain up to 23 different minerals, but is predominantly amethyst and citrine, so basically a form of ametrine with additional inclusions of green quartz, Titanite, Cacoxenite, Lepidocrosite, Ajoite, Hematite, Magnetite, Pyrite, Goethite, Pyrolusite, Gold, Silver, Platinum, Nickel, Copper, Iron, Limonite, Sphalerite, Covellite, Chalcopyrite, Gialite, Epidote, Bornite and Rutile. Robert Simmons, author of numerous books on crystals, sees Auralite as a valuable tool for meditation and healing. "Auralite-23 reminds the body, on a cellular level, of its proper vital function," says Simmons. "As such, this is a stone of regeneration and rejuvenation. The link Auralite provides to higher realms can instigate a process of inner purification. Those willing to receive this stone’s blessings are inwardly 'inspected' and cleansed of various inner knots of negative fixation. The felt sense of this can seem like a dissolving of one’s cares and worries––a release of patterns of anxiety, resentment, judgement, depression and defeat. As this dissolution occurs, one feels an upliftment of one’s spirit and an awakening to the potentialities for a new life." Mineralogical and Metaphysical Properties of Amethyst Amethyst is the gemstone variety of quartz, produced by the presence of manganese in clear quartz crystal. Increments of iron within the crystal as it formed vary the color of the amethyst, which ranges from pale lilac to deep purple. Amethyst has been popular with royalty, sages, mystics and magicians for centuries. “Fine amethysts are featured in the British Crown Jewels and were also a favorite of Catherine the Great and Egyptian royalty,” according to the International Colored Gemstone Association. “Leonardo Da Vinci wrote that amethyst was able to dissipate evil thoughts and quicken the intelligence,” according to the ICGA website. “Because amethyst was thought to encourage celibacy and symbolize piety, amethyst was very important in the ornamentation of Catholic and other churches in the Middle Ages. It was, in particular, considered to be the stone of bishops and they still often wear amethyst rings,” continues the ICGA. “In Tibet, amethyst is considered to be sacred to Buddha and rosaries are often fashioned from it.” Amethyst is said to enhance spirituality, raise the vibrational level of the holder, cleanse the astral, etheric and physical bodies, and produce a peaceful, tranquil state of mind. The color violet is associated with the crown chakra in the Western chakra system, and so this extremely bright violet amethyst is said by crystal healers to activate and energize the crown chakra, connecting the bearer to Higher Mind, Higher Realms and inner spiritual guidance from extremely elevated and reliable Sources. We use amethyst as a spiritual purifier, a way to protect the etheric body from outer stresses, be they of a spiritual, mental, physical, personal or impersonal nature. Amethyst is classically the stone of sobriety, purity and chastity and would be an excellent stone for those with tendencies toward addictive behavior, or for those spiritual seekers intent upon transformation through the progressive purification of mind, body and aura. The color violet is the color of the seventh, or crown chakra, in the human energy body, and the Violet Ray is the Seventh of the Seven Rays of Creation. The Seventh Ray is one aspect of the Holy Spirit, a combination of the blue flame of faith and the pink flame of love. The Ascended Master who is Master of the Seventh Ray is Count St. Germain, the eighteenth century reincarnation of the Western Mystic and Adept Christian Rosenkreuz, apochryphal founder of the Rosicrucian Order. The Seventh Ray focus greatly on the use of ceremonial magic and alchemy to purify and transmute the lower, animal instincts of humanity into higher impulses, higher thought-forms, more evolved emotional states, and more purified energetic signatures at all levels of being. In the pantheon of modern day New Age Guides and Teachers, the Count Saint Germain is called "The World Teacher" and "The Master of the Violet Ray" and is thought to communicate mind-to-mind with many, many students around the world. There is thought to be a large contingent of his students alive today in the United States, the center of modern Empire, just as Paris was the center of European Empire at the time of St. Germain. Many New Age students of St. Germain utilize crystals and gemstones in their spiritual practice, for healing and in meditation, in a modern alchemical quest for Higher Self, Higher Mind and Higher Purpose. Modern New Age practice encompasses a belief in the theory of karma and reincarnation. The belief in reincarnation has its roots in the Hindu and Egyptian Mystery School traditions, and is fundamental to the Greek Mystery School Tradition of the pre-Socratic philosophers, as we discuss at great length in the online E-Book Spirits of Stone: A Lightworker's Guide to Crystals for Healing and Meditation. New Age students of the Ancient Wisdom Teachings often utilize crystals and gemstones, along with meditation techniques, Reiki and past life regression therapy to access memories of past lives, and to release the detrimental patterns of behavior, negative emotions and outmoded mental maps of the world imprinted in our cells, our hearts, our minds and our karma from traumas experienced aeons ago. Many of these modern acolytes of the Great Alchemist utilize crystals and gemstones thought to resonate with the energy vibration of the Violet Ray, under the guidance of Master St. Germain for purification and to raise the kundalini energy in a quest for Unity Consciousness. Such crystals and gems include especially amethyst, that violet colored form of quartz once so favored by the Pope and Bishops of the Catholic Church. Metaphysical and Mineralogical Properties of Citrine Citrine is a powerful semi-precious stone which is a rare, more energetically powerful form of amethyst, characterized by a yellow color, ranging from white to deep copper. It is less common in nature than amethyst but both are found in quartz veins, as well as volcanic locations. The color of citrine derives from small amounts (approximately 40 parts per million) of iron in the quartz. The difference between citrine and amethyst is only the oxidation state of the iron present in the quartz. Citrine typically is formed when an amethyst becomes heated and pressurized to the point where the iron held within the crystal undergoes a further stage of oxidation. Metaphysically, citrine combines the energy of the Yellow and the Golden Rays, activating the solar plexus chakra and the crown chakra respectively. Working on the third chakra, which is the solar plexus chakra, associated in the Western mystery school tradition with the color yellow, citrine strengthens the bearer's energy system and infuses the "hara" center and solar plexus with Universal Life Force Energy, also known as "chi" or "prana" in the Chinese and Hindu systems of energy medicine. Citrine is said to aid in digestion, which is governed by the third chakra, and to activate the thymus, which regulates our immune system, thus promoting health and well-being. In addition, citrine is said to provide a feeling of comfort and optimism. I must admit, that when I wear or work with citrine, I have a great sense of well being and protection. Working on the seventh, or crown chakra, which is associated with the colors violet, gold and white in the Western mystery school traditions, citrine opens the gateway to Higher Mind, strengthening the energetic connection between the personality and the Higher Self, and helping us to achieve conscious awareness of our Higher Purpose in everything we do and say throughout our busy lives. Used to strengthen the aura and surround the bearer in a bubble of golden light, heliodor provides the bearer with a safe, secure personal space, free from the interference of negative or unwanted individual or collective thoughtforms, deleterious emotional states projected by others, and even inasuspicious astrological influences, which can be literally burned away when they encounter such a strong golden aura as heliodor helps to create. In our experience, citrine cleanses the emotional and etheric bodies, and stimulates the holder’s vital energies and physical body. It imparts a strong sense of protection if worn on the body or placed in a room where energy work takes place or groups gather. Used in energy healing, citrine is said to transmit the golden light of unity consciousness, which is tuned to the very highest vibrations of an open eighth chakra -- the chakra above the crown of the head, said by the Western New Age chakra system to be the location of the Higher Self. When we (Curtis Lang & Jane Sherry, Satya Center founders) have used citrine in Reiki and crystal energy sessions with clients, they have reported feeling a golden glow around them. We have also found that citrine is a powerful tool for extracting negative energies, gently dissolving energy blocks, and releasing negative emotions during sessions.
