SVS SoundPath Subwoofer/Audio Cables

SVS SoundPath Subwoofer Cable Built to preserve bass detail and impact, the SVS SoundPath Subwoofer Cable is a premium RCA subwoofer/LFE cable engineered for clean, noise-free signal transfer between an AV receiver/processor and a powered subwoofer. A 24K gold-plated brass RCA interface, multi-strand 99.99% oxygen-free copper (OFC) conductors, and a precision five-layer dielectric insulation system work together to maintain signal purity while rejecting electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference that can dull low-frequency dynamics. From tight, musical bass lines to room-shaking home theater effects, the SoundPath cable is designed for stable connectivity and consistent performance, even on longer runs. A rugged, attractive cotton braided outer jacket and a substantial build make it ideal for clean installs where durability, flexibility, and premium fit-and-finish matter. The SVS SoundPath Subwoofer Cable is part of ListenUp's SVS Cables Collection. This cable is designed to connect an AV receiver, preamp, or processor’s subwoofer/LFE output to a powered subwoofer’s RCA/LFE input. It’s a standard RCA-to-RCA connection commonly used in home theater and stereo bass management. Will this cable help reduce subwoofer hum or unwanted noise? It can help by using a five-layer insulation/shielding system plus a directional shield termination designed to reduce EMI/RFI noise pickup. If you still hear hum, it may be a ground loop—isolating cable TV lines, changing outlets, or using a ground-loop isolator can help. Is this a single cable or a dual (Y) cable? This is a single RCA subwoofer cable (one connection from source to sub). If your subwoofer has left/right RCA inputs, most setups use the LFE input or the manufacturer-recommended input (often “L” or “LFE”)—check your subwoofer manual. How do I choose the right cable length? Choose the shortest length that reaches comfortably with a little slack for routing and strain relief. For clean installs, measure the full path (around furniture/walls) rather than the straight-line distance. Does gold plating change the sound? Gold plating primarily helps with consistent contact quality and corrosion resistance over time. That stability can prevent connection-related issues that may cause noise or intermittent signal dropouts. Is the SVS SoundPath Subwoofer Cable suitable for long runs? Yes—lengths up to 15 meters are available, and the design emphasizes low capacitance, shielding, and impedance matching to maintain signal integrity across longer distances. Is this cable rated for in-wall installation? No in-wall safety rating is specified here. If you need to run a cable inside a wall, use a cable specifically rated for in-wall use (and follow local code requirements). What makes this different from basic RCA subwoofer cables? It combines 99.99% OFC copper conductors, 24K gold-plated brass connectors, a five-layer dielectric/shielding system, and robust mechanical construction for cleaner signal transfer, better noise rejection, and long-term durability.
