Suspending Slider – FlySmith Flies

Suspending Slider – FlySmith Flies Designed by pro staff tyer Casey Smith of FlySmith Flies, the Suspending Slider is a precision-balanced baitfish pattern built to hover, pulse, and get crushed. Tied on a Gamakatsu SL12S #2 with a deer hair head and bead-chain eyes, this fly pushes water up front while maintaining a slow-sinking, neutral-suspending posture that keeps it in the strike zone longer. Each Slider is hand-stacked, trimmed, and tuned so the head displaces just enough water to call fish in without blowing out the profile. The extended synthetic tail gives you that long, flowing movement on the pause — making it deadly for redfish, speckled trout, snook, bass, and any predator looking for an easy meal. Built tough. Fished slow. Eats guaranteed. Features Hand-tied by pro staff tyer Casey Smith (FlySmith Flies) SL12S #2 for maximum strength and saltwater reliability Deer hair head for buoyancy, vibration, and natural push Bead chain eyes for that perfect suspending fall Long synthetic tail with flash for lifelike movement Ideal for sight-fishing, grass edges, channels, and drop-offs Barbed hooks unless otherwise stated Ideal For Redfish, speckled trout, snook, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, and general predatory species in both fresh and saltwater.
