Surrender the Booty #2 CVR 06

CVR 06 by Fernandes, colors by Splash Colors SURRENDER THE BOOTY: ISSUE #2 "Souls in the Balance" After the explosive success of Issue #1, Captain Scarlet's journey into darkness takes an even more thrilling turn. The crew is no longer entirely human. Half have been touched by supernatural forces, their souls partially claimed by an ancient entity known as The Shadow. Black eyes, synchronized movements, voices that speak of "deep songs" and ghost ships phase through reality itself. ENTER TEMPEST: THE REBEL CAPTAIN Meet Tempest, a former Marked Captain who broke free from The Shadow's control at an unimaginable cost. Scarred, powerful, and leading a rebellion of freed souls, she arrives to save Scarlet from a fate worse than death. This isn't just action and adventure—it's a deeply emotional story about two women finding each other in darkness. Tempest and Scarlet's relationship develops organically from suspicion to trust to passionate connection, providing the emotional anchor that makes this supernatural epic so compelling. Issue #2 (30 pages) is crucial to the larger Surrender the Booty saga. This 6-issue series will explore themes of: Power vs. Freedom - What price are we willing to pay for strength? Redemption - Can anyone truly escape their past? Love as Liberation - How genuine connection can break even supernatural bonds Collective Action - Individual heroism vs. working together for change
