This queen-sized song surf quilt features a bargello wave pattern. It is done in a palette of soft blues, cream and warm taupe. The colors reflect natural coastal landscapes like river stones or a sandy shoreline. The border is done is a soft blue and gold abstract pattern pulled from the quilt top. The shifting colors from dark to light emphasize the optical illusion depth and cascading waves. The back is done in a graphic butterfly and floral pattern in taupe and cream. They are then cut into vertical columns of varying widths and then staggered to create a sense of fluid, undulating movement. It was created by one of our highly skilled Amish quilters.
