More Info The mucosal barrier—your first-line immune defense—refers to all of the mucous membranes that comprise the primary interface between the external environment and the internal environment of the body. Support Mucosa targets the most critical barrier, that which lines your intestines. This mucosal barrier lets beneficial things into your general circulation and keeps non-beneficial ones out. Support Mucosa is specifically formulated to support the mucosal barrier of the gut wall, supporting healthy tissue form and function. It plays several roles in soothing the intestinal lining.* A principal component in the formula is the amino acid Glutamine. Glutamine’s ability to support the mucosal barrier cells and tissue is well known in nutritional science.* BioMatrix's Proprietary Blend is a synergistic mix of botanicals that assists in tissue repair. Combined with the soothing and restorative ingredients quercetin, MSM, bromelain, gamma oryzanol, and N-Acetyl-D-Glucosamine, the blend acts as a cohesive force.* Like each of the BioMatrix formulas, Support Mucosa’s formulation is the result of decades of collective clinical experience with virtually every major line of nutrition product available and BioMatrix's appreciation for the subtle interactions between botanicals.
