Superior Secure Vent Support Plate - SV4.5SP

Features: Manufacturer-Specific Design: The Superior Secure Vent Support Plate is custom-made by Superior Fireplaces specifically for their direct vent gas appliances. This personalized design guarantees perfect compatibility and maximum functionality when paired with Superior Fireplaces' products! Support and Stability: Like standard support plates for direct vent systems, the Superior Secure Vent Support Plate plays a crucial role in supporting the vent pipe. It prevents sagging and maintains the structural integrity of the venting system over time, enhancing safety and efficiency. Wall Penetration: This support plate is installed at the point where the vent pipe passes through the exterior wall. It creates a tight seal around the vent pipe, effectively preventing drafts, moisture, and pests from entering the building, while also contributing to the system's overall stability. Heat Shield: To safeguard the wall and adjacent structures from excessive heat generated by the direct vent gas appliance, the Superior Secure Vent Support Plate often includes a heat shield or insulation. This feature helps prevent heat-related safety hazards and damage to building materials. Weatherproofing: The plate typically incorporates weatherproofing elements, such as flashing, to ensure a watertight seal around the wall penetration. This prevents water infiltration, which can lead to water damage and potential structural issues if left unaddressed. Aesthetic Considerations: Superior Fireplaces usually design their Secure Vent Support Plate with a polished appearance, ensuring that the venting installation looks professional and complements the overall design of their gas appliances. Compliance and Quality: When using the Superior Secure Vent Support Plate, it's essential to adhere to local building codes and regulations. Superior Fireplaces usually manufacture their products to meet or exceed industry standards for safety and performance.
