Like all of the blades in our Prestige™ lineup, this super-smooth cutting Prestige™ dado set features the latest in cutting tool technology including massive tool-steel plates and precision ground D-10 carbide teeth. The 8" diameter, 24-tooth outside plates are hollow ground for proper clearance and feature high ATB grind geometry with every sixth tooth flat ground for efficient chip removal. Each tooth body also features anti-kickback design to help prevent overfeeding. Set accommodates today’s undersized plywoods. Packed in a handy black molded carrying case. Each of the six interior chippers features four teeth and the standard width capacity is 1/4" through 29/32". Adjustments can be easily made in 1/32" increments and even finer adjustments, as small as .002", can be made by using the supplied shim set.  A stacking dado set is an ideal tool for cutting dadoes, grooves and tenons for strong mortise-and-tenon joinery. Teeth refers to the number of teeth for each outside saw blade. Note: Always use the outside blades. Never attempt to use the chippers without the outside blades  CMT's Precision Dado Sets CMT thoroughly researched the shortcomings of “standard” dado sets and learned what cabinet makers required most from an “ideal” dado. The result was the superior CMT precision dado, designed with the following features: -Anti-kickback design to reduce the possibility of overfeeding that can occur when cutting mass material. -Splinter resistant cuts in veneer plywood, melamine and hard and soft woods. -Four-tooth chippers that keep the cut flat and virtually free from tear out. -3/32" chipper made especially for undersized plywood. -Shim sets included for cuts between 1/4" and 7/8". -Adjustments can be easily made in 1/32" increments -Comes in a plastic carrying case. Set accommodates today’s undersized plywoods. Safety precautions: Always use both outside blades. Carbide teeth should never come into contact with each other.
