Super Bluebird Nest Box with Pole Package

APPROVED BY THE NORTH AMERICAN BLUEBIRD SOCIETY. A good bluebird box should be easy to monitor, easy to clean, and provide a safe nesting site. It should be more than just a cavity for a bird to build a nest in. This one has everything your bluebirds need! It is very easy to monitor. The side has a hinged door with a viewing window to keep nestlings secure. When it is time to clean the nest, the viewing window slides out to provide full access to the box. The copper portal around the entrance maintains the 1½” entry. Predators will not be able to chew the entrance to make it larger. There is plenty of ventilation just under the roofline and drainage holes on the bottom to keep the nest dry. It is truly SUPER and top of the line.  An information sheet is included with the nest box. Nest Box Features: Solid cedar and stainless steel screw construction will last for years Removable acrylic viewing window Hinged door for easy monitoring 1½” entry, ideal for bluebirds Copper Portal maintains entry Grooves below the exit hole for traction Excellent drainage and ventilation 8” wide x 8” deep x 12” tall  Pole Kit Features:  Heavy-duty black powder-coated steel construction Strong 3 piece 1" diameter tubular pole Ground Stake drives 17" into the ground (not available with Baffles) Optional Twister Ground Socket twists 20" into the ground for even more strength and stability (strongly recommended if using a baffle) 68" Overall Height Screws included Add-on Baffles available! Our baffles are constructed of galvanized steel and powder-coated black. Squirrel baffle measures 16-3/4" long and 6-1/4" in diameter. Raccoon baffle measures 28" long and 6-1/4" in diameter, and is also effective against squirrels when properly installed (see below). We highly recommend the Twister Ground Socket if using a baffle, as it will support the extra weight better. To keep squirrels from getting onto your bird feeders, place your pole 8-10' away from railings, roofs or trees.  This prevents the squirrels from leaping over the baffle.  Squirrel baffles should be mounted a minimum of 4' from the top of baffle to the ground. Bluebird Nestboxes and pole kits are also available individually. → Read more about bluebirds in our Bluebird Guide!
