Supair DELIGHT 5 harness Cross-country paragliding harness

Supair DELIGHT 5 harness Cross-country harness Born in the world of harnesses , the DELIGHT has evolved Line to become the benchmark for accessible lightweight cross-country harnesses. With the DELIGHT 5, SUPAIR continues this evolution: lighter, yet just as comfortable and reassuring, it supports pilots want to fly long and far with peace of mind. About 450 g lighter than the previous generation, better equipped, and with more refined finishes, the DELIGHT 5 retains what defines its DNA: safety, comfort, and easeUse. A harness to let you fully enjoy cross-country flying, with a free spirit. About The DELIGHT was born out of a very specific context: the X-Alps, where every gram counts and where equipment must meet extreme demands. The first generations were therefore harnesses lightweight harnesses , designed for walk & flight competitions. Line , the product’s philosophy has evolved. The DELIGHT has gradually transformed into an accessible harness , capable of supporting a wider range of pilots. Since the third generation, the goal has been clear: to offer a reassuring, comfortable, and user-friendly harness. The DELIGHT 5 fully embodies this philosophy. Previous generations have progressively gained in comfort and features, which has been accompanied by an increase in weight. With the DELIGHT 5, the design team took the opposite approach: reducing weight while maintaining the level of comfort and protection achieved in the previous generation. The result: approximately 450 g lighter than a DELIGHT 4—a nearly 10% reduction—without compromising on durability or the quality of support. The DELIGHT series is built around a distinctive structure designed to prioritize stability. The seat plate provides clear feedback and firm support, allowing the pilot to stay focused on their trajectory without being disturbed by unwanted movements. The harness acts as a filter between the pilot and the wing. It smooths out the feedback, delivering a more relaxed flying experience, especially with modern gliders that tend to be highly responsive. The DELIGHT 5’s enveloping cocoon is designed to provide precise and long-lasting support. The seating keeps the pilot securely in place, enhancing the feeling of safety and reducing fatigue on long flights. This ergonomic design makes it well suited to pilots flying high-performance gliders, as well as those looking for their first cross-country cocoon harness. The DELIGHT 5 delivers a high level of safety within its category. The full-length PLASTAZOTE© back protector protects the pilot from the neck down to the lower thighs, using high-performance structural foam that is effective immediately after deployment, regardless of the angle of impact. The stability of the structure makes it easier to control the wing when conditions become more demanding. This fifth generation also marks a step up in terms of details and ergonomics. The DELIGHT 5 features several improvements, including a magnetic cockpit, a speedbag, an optimized reserve pocket, as well as better integration of accessories and more refined finishes. These improvements allow pilots to stay focused on their flights while benefiting from a high level of comfort. The DELIGHT 5 is all about balance: the kind that lets you fly for hours without fatigue, builds confidence in demanding conditions, and supports pilots in their cross-country flying. A harness designed for one simple purpose: to fully enjoy every flight. Optimized comfort and ingenious details This fifth generation achieves the remarkable feat of shedding 450 g (about 10% compared to the DELIGHT 4) without compromising on ergonomics or durability. Comfort is ensured by an enveloping cocoon and legstraps provide precise support, ideal for long hours of flight. The upgrade to a higher-end model is also reflected in more sophisticated accessories: a speedbag cockpit and speedbag for simplified handling, as well as an optimized parachute pocket. These details, combined with meticulous finishes, make it a tool that is as pleasant to use on a daily basis as it is aesthetically pleasing.   Built for long-distance endurance The DELIGHT 5 is designed for smooth, effortless cross-country performance. By prioritizing stability and reducing fatigue, it allows you to take on long-distance flights with confidence. The ergonomics are designed to minimize unwanted inputs, offering a seating position suited to both pilots flying high-performance gliders and those discovering their first cross-country cocoon. Striking the right balance between lightness and support, it becomes the ideal partner for covering distance efficiently while fully enjoying the pleasure of flying.   Comprehensive safety, both passive and active The DELIGHT 5 features comprehensive protection, giving the pilot confidence throughout every phase of flight. Its passive safety system relies on high-performance structural foam that protects from the neck down to the lower thighs, ensuring consistent protection regardless of the angle of impact. In terms of active safety, the stable and responsive chassis allows the pilot to maintain precise control of their trajectory without being overwhelmed by air movements. By acting as a filter that smooths out glider reactions, the harness reduces mental fatigue and makes it easier to react when conditions become unstable.
