Sunny Knock Out Rose

Sunny Knock Out Rose (Rosa 'Radsunny')Sunny Knock Out Rose brings a bright hit of yellow to the landscape with a repeat-blooming habit that keeps beds looking lively for months. Flowers open a clear, sunny yellow and often soften to a creamy yellow as they age, so the plant stays bright without feeling harsh. The shrub grows into a dense, rounded shape that is easy to place and easy to maintain in everyday gardens. If you want long-season color with a straightforward care routine, this rose is built for reliable performance. Distinctive FeaturesThis shrub rose produces abundant clusters of single yellow blooms that fade to a softer cream tone, delivering a fresh look from late spring through fall. Its foliage is medium to dark green and helps the plant look full and polished between flushes. The habit is compact, dense, and rounded, making it a strong choice for mass planting and foundation beds without constant shaping. Mature size is typically about 3 to 4 feet tall and 3 to 4 feet wide. Growing Conditions Sun: Full sun is best for maximum bloom and the healthiest, densest growth. Soil: Plant in fertile, well-drained soil and amend with organic matter for best performance. Water: Water deeply during establishment, then water when the top few inches of soil are dry while avoiding soggy conditions. USDA Zones: Zones 5 to 11. Spacing: Space about 3 to 4 feet apart to support airflow and allow the shrub to fill out evenly. Ideal Uses Focal Point: Use as a focal point in a sunny bed where yellow bloom can brighten the space from late spring through fall. Mass Planting: Plant in groups for a bold sweep of yellow that reads well from the street. Foundation Beds: Adds long-season color and a tidy, rounded form along the house without constant shaping. Mixed Borders: Pairs easily with perennials and shrubs, adding repeat bloom and a clean mid-layer presence. Low Hedges: Use in a row to create a flowering edge that stays full and colorful for months. Low Maintenance Care Pruning: Prune in late winter to early spring to shape the shrub and encourage vigorous new flowering growth. Deadheading: Deadheading is optional, but removing spent clusters can improve tidiness and encourage quicker repeat bloom. Watering: Water at the base to keep foliage drier and reduce disease pressure. Feeding: Fertilize in spring and again after the first heavy bloom flush to support continued flowering. Mulching: Mulch to conserve moisture, suppress weeds, and moderate soil temperature around the roots. Why Choose Sunny Knock Out Rose?
