‘Snack Seed’ Edible Sunflower Seeds

Snack Seed is a sunflower with a delicious second act. Classic golden petals encircle broad green disks that mature into heavy heads of large, plump kernels, bred for an especially sweet, nutty flavor. Strong 6–8-foot stalks give the garden a bold midsummer landmark while the open flowers welcome pollinators. When the centers dry, harvest the heads for home-roasted snacks—or share part of the crop with delighted birds.
