Sun Frog Sample Pack

Sun Frog Sample Pack: Try Before You Commit Choosing the perfect color and finish for your exterior wood project is the most critical step in achieving a stunning, long-lasting result. You need to see the colors on your specific wood, under your unique lighting conditions, and be certain of your choice before committing to gallons of product. That’s why we created the Sun Frog Wood Finish Sample Pack—the essential first step for any homeowner or contractor planning to stain and protect their deck, fence, or outdoor furniture. Experience the Sun Frog Difference This comprehensive sample kit allows you to test our industry-leading formulas and six beautiful color options, ensuring you achieve the exact look and level of protection you desire. You won’t just be testing color; you’ll be experiencing the deep-penetrating quality that earned Sun Frog a superior moisture protection rating from Professional Deck Builder Magazine. What's Included in Your Sample Pack The Sun Frog Sample Pack is designed to give you a complete, miniature version of the Sun Frog finishing process, from cleaning to brightening to the final stain application. Each kit contains 9 individual 1 oz pouches, providing enough material to conduct small-scale tests on scrap wood, fence pickets, or discrete areas of your current project. 7 Finish & Stain Color Samples (1 oz each): Clear: Highlights the natural color and grain of your wood without adding pigment. Cedar: A classic, warm reddish-brown hue. Redwood: A vibrant, deep red for a rich, majestic finish. Mahogany: A refined, sophisticated dark reddish-brown. Dark Teak: A deep, modern, earthy brown. Brown Driftwood: A cool, aged gray-brown for a contemporary, weathered look. Note: The sample pack includes the six colors listed above, which encompass the core range offered by Sun Frog. 2 Preparation Samples (1 oz each): Sun Frog Born Again Brightener: Use this after cleaning to neutralize the wood's pH and restore the natural color of weathered, gray wood. This ensures your chosen stain color is true and vibrant. Sun Frog Deck Cleaner: A powerful, biodegradable formula to safely remove dirt, mold, and stains, preparing the surface for optimal stain penetration. Why You Need a Sample Pack Wood species, age, porosity, and previous treatments can drastically alter the final appearance of any stain color. What looks great on a sample chip in a store might look completely different on your aged pressure-treated pine or new cedar deck. Using the Sample Pack allows you to: Test True Color: Apply the samples to your actual project wood and let it dry completely. You'll see the real color as the pigment interacts with your specific wood type. Compare Side-by-Side: Easily line up your favorite colors and view them under different lighting conditions—direct sun, shade, and morning light—to make an informed final decision. Perfect the Process: Practice the cleaning, brightening, and staining steps to understand how the products interact before you commit to large-scale application. Confirm Absorption: See exactly how much product your specific wood absorbs, helping you accurately estimate the required amount for your full project.
