Spreads dry, melts clean, and avoids shine or chemical filters. Does not claim SPF or UV protection. HOW TO USE Warm a small amount between fingers and apply a thin layer to dry or exposed skin. Reapply as needed during extended heat or outdoor activity. SIZE 1.5 oz What is Sun Balm? Sun Balm is a friction-melt mineral sunscreen with 20% non-nano zinc oxide for broad-spectrum UV protection without chemical absorption or white cast. It provides physical sun barrier that stays on skin surface instead of entering bloodstream. How to Use Sun Balm Apply to exposed skin 15 minutes before sun exposure Rub until balm melts and spreads thinly Zinc oxide will appear slightly white for 1-2 minutes, then clear Reapply every 2 hours during continuous sun exposure Water-resistant up to 40 minutes (reapply after swimming or heavy sweat) Frequently Asked Questions What is Sun Balm used for? UV protection during outdoor activity. Beach, hiking, yard work, any extended sun exposure. Mineral barrier sunscreen for people who avoid chemical sunscreen actives. What SPF is this? Not labeled with SPF (requires FDA testing and approval), but 20% non-nano zinc oxide provides broad-spectrum protection comparable to SPF 30-40. Will it leave white cast? Minimal. Slight white tint for 1-2 minutes after application, then absorbs and clears. Much better than traditional zinc sunscreens that stay white. How is this different from chemical sunscreen? Chemical sunscreens (oxybenzone, avobenzone) absorb UV and convert to heat inside skin — some enter bloodstream. Zinc oxide sits on surface and reflects UV. No chemical absorption. Can I use it on my face? Yes. Apply thinly to avoid white cast. Works under makeup (let absorb for 3-5 minutes first). Sun Balm vs Similar Products Sun Balm vs Summer Balm: Sun Balm is UV-only protection. Summer Balm adds citronella/eucalyptus for bug deterrent. Choose Summer Balm if bugs are active, Sun Balm for dry, low-bug conditions. Sun Balm vs chemical sunscreen: Chemical sunscreens absorb through skin. Sun Balm stays on surface as physical barrier. Choose Sun Balm if you avoid chemical absorption or have sensitive skin that reacts to chemical actives.
