Summertime Abstract

Summertime Abstract  By Kristen Coates 40"H x 30"W Acrylic on primed linen Signed and titled on reverse Summertime Abstract is a playful exploration of color, movement, and composition. Bold circles and sweeping brushstrokes drift across the raw linen surface, creating a lively rhythm of blues, citrus yellows, coral reds, and soft whites. The natural linen ground remains visible throughout the painting, allowing the color to float lightly across the surface while giving the work warmth and texture. Each mark carries the immediacy of the brush, spontaneous, energetic, and full of life. The result is a composition that feels both structured and free, capturing the lightness and joy of summer through color and gesture.
