Summer Solstice Placemats

Summer Solstice Placemats Celebrate the easy beauty of summer with the Summer Solstice Placemats. Inspired by the rich colors of the night sky during the longest days of the year, these placemats bring saturated hues and inviting texture to warm-weather tables and everyday meals alike. Woven in Basketweave — a variation of plain weave using doubled warp and weft threads — this project highlights the natural texture of the cloth while allowing the vibrant colors of Duet Cotton/Linen to shine. The result is a fabric that feels light and airy, yet substantial enough for daily use. Designed with beginners in mind, this kit offers a satisfying introduction to Basketweave while keeping the weaving process straightforward and enjoyable. The steady rhythm of the weave and the bold color shifts make it a pleasure from start to finish; with beautiful results you’ll be proud to share. Perfect for casual summer gatherings or adding a handmade touch to your table, these placemats capture the simplicity and warmth of the season. Weave a full set for your home or gift them as a thoughtful, handmade present.
