Kaitlin's Pantry Essentials Kit

Everything you need to carry you through the dog days of summer. Turn on your favorite Beach Boys album, harvest those tomatoes, herbs, lettuces, eggplants and peppers from your garden, and drizzle, glug and sprinkle with abandon! Filled with our favorite staples from the shelves of our shop, we’ve hand-assembled our all-time favorite ingredients to include in this summer pantry essentials kit. What’s in the box? Really good late harvest olive oil from Italy for glugging over everything, from pasta salad to Caprese salad to fresh heirloom tomatoes and more. Aged balsamic vinegar that’s sweet, juicy, and slightly acidic for drizzling over roasted chicken, grilled salmon or fresh berries. Amora mustard, our shop favorite dijon, for tomato sandwiches and charcuterie. Our Turkish Oregano, herby, earthy, zesty, for marinades, Greek salads and dressings. And two finishing salts, our classic flake salt from New Zealand for everyday eating and Black Diamond Flake salt for visual drama and pizzazz.  Bon appétit! The Meadow's Summer Pantry Essentials Kit includes:  The Meadow's World Famous Balsamic Vinaigrette recipe!  100% Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Blera, Italy Silky, bold extra virgin olive oil with a big peppery finish. Made from local, late-harvest 100% Caninese olives. Excellent for sautés and sauces, yet versatile enough to be used as a finishing touch on everything from fresh bruschetta, to grilled fish, pastas and bread warm from the oven. The Meadow Balsamic Aged Vinegar from Italy A pantry staple! Sweet, juicy and slightly acidic with a full bodied, yet balanced flavor. USDA-certified organic Lambrusco and Trebbiano grape musts and wine vinegar. Drizzle generously over grilled meats, like skirt steak and roasted chicken. Use as a topping, with our extra virgin olive oil, for chopped tomatoes, garlic and basil. Or spoon this balsamic vinegar over macerated strawberries. Jill uses this exclusively to make her special balsamic glaze! Amora Mustard from France - our shop favorite dijon, for tomato sandwiches and charcuterie. Bitterman's Turkish Oregano - Herby, earthy, zesty fresh oregano buds from Denizli, Turkey! Sprinkle whole on fresh cheeses, grilled peppers & onions, and roasted chicken. Or crush between your fingers and use as topping on pizzas, pastas, breads and more. Bitterman's Flake Sea Salt from New Zealand Our favorite flake salt for all purpose sprinkling and finishing! This salt is the snow of the sea, with a soft, crispy texture and a salinity so other-worldly it will transport any dish it touches. This salt loves spring and summer. Gently scatter the flakes on lightly dressed green salads, raw or freshly grilled vegetables, fish and other seafoods. Black Diamond Flake Sea Salt Black Diamond is a Mediterranean flake salt that is thoroughly suffused with activated charcoal. The activated charcoal, a natural detoxifier that has health benefits in small doses, gives Black Diamond a deep, dark obsidian luster and a distinctly earthy taste of carbon. Black Diamond's pyramid-shaped crystals are very large and provide a nice toothsome crunch that makes for a marvelous counterpoint in texture on your food. Its raven color brings delightful contrast to a dish lighter in color and is sure to elicit an exclamation from your guests. Tellicherry Black Pepper from India From the heart of pepper-growing country in India, this richly aromatic flavored pepper is matched by a lustrous brownish black color and classic wrinkled texture. Vine-ripened until mature, these large berries have full, robust flavor and front-of-the mouth heat with hint of citrus and classic pepper finish. For use everyday.
