Suikaen Black Ceramic Chasen Whisk Stand

Preserve the shape and longevity of your matcha whisk (or chasen in Japanese) with this traditional black porcelain whisk stand, thoughtfully handcrafted to support your daily tea ritual. Matchaful is proud to source this authentic matcha whisk holder from Suikaen, a heritage teaware producer based in Nara Prefecture, Japan. Made from durable porcelain, this whisk stand is designed to maintain the natural curvature of your bamboo chasen, allowing it to dry properly between uses and extending its lifespan. Suikaen brings over 500 years of traditional craftsmanship to every piece. As one of the few remaining workshops in Japan producing fully handmade tea ceremony utensils, they use locally harvested bamboo and time-honored techniques rooted in chadō (the Japanese Way of Tea). Now led by 25th-generation master craftsman Tanimura Yasaburo, the workshop continues its legacy of meticulous, chemical-free production—ensuring each tool is as pure as the tea rituals it supports. Elegant, functional, and steeped in tradition, this porcelain chasen stand is an essential accessory for matcha preparation and a refined addition to any tea set.
