Succombe Qui Doit

I discovered this one-shot at Angouleme 2014 and loved the fluid inkwork and bold imagery. "Those who must die." A classical noir thriller, a black and brutal story of exceptional intensity. Sensitive souls abstain. Four young thugs are on the run after a robbery gone wrong. They take refuge and tie up Jose, the owner of the premises, a tough, taciturn misanthrope. How to escape the Police dragnet? Save their wounded comrade? And above all, deliver the loot to their boss, the sinister La Villette? With expressionist violence and unusual harshness, "Succombe Qui Doit" revisits the eternal motifs of noir. Irresistible.
