40 Oz. To Freedom 1CD

40 oz. to Freedom by Sublime is the Long Beach band’s debut studio album, first issued independently before finding a wider audience after the group signed to MCA. Rooted in the collision of punk, reggae, ska, and hip-hop that shaped their early sound, the record captures the loose, collage-like approach that became central to Sublime’s catalog. “Badfish” and “Smoke Two Joints” became enduring staples of the band’s songbook, while “Date Rape” helped bring the album to a larger alternative-rock audience. This edition is available on CD.
