Subaru OEM Engine Filter 2015+ WRX, 22+ BRZ/86

The importance of routine oil changes No motor oil lasts forever. The heat and friction produced between the moving parts of any engine eventually causes oil to break down and lose its protective properties (oil breakdown also occurs over time while a vehicle is left stationary). This is why it is crucial to follow the oil change intervals (at least every 6,000 Miles or 6 Months) inside your Warranty & Maintenance Booklet. Use it to find the correct mileage and/or time that your oil should be changed, and your oil filter replaced.** You already know that your engine requires oil to lubricate and protect its internal parts from heat and friction. But did you know that only Genuine Subaru Oil provides this required protection? That’s because it was designed, tested, and proven over the competition to best meet the unique lubrication needs of your SUBARU BOXER® engine. Just as engines vary from one manufacturer to another, oil brands and types differ as well. Pairing the right oil with your engine can help make a significant difference in performance, fuel economy, and reliability throughout its lifetime. So, when your Subaru is due for an oil change, we recommend using the only oil formulated specifically for your engine – Genuine Subaru Oil.
