Studlock UltraBracket

This is the bracket that makes a thick floating shelf actually float — the flagship of our Studlock system, sold on its own for anyone mounting or building a shelf between 1.75 and 3 inches thick. If you buy a shelf from us, it already includes the right one. It is 100% steel, mounts to the studs, and disappears entirely into the back of the shelf, so the finished look is wood on the wall and nothing else: no visible arm, no bracket underneath. It is the patented Studlock design, cut, welded, and powder-coated semi-gloss black in our own shop. It comes in seven lengths, from 10 inches up to a full 70, each matched to a shelf length so you order the one that fits — the 70-inch bracket carries shelves as long as 90 inches, well beyond what most brackets handle. Support rods come in 4, 6, or 8-inch depths to match how deep your shelf is, and every bracket ships with wood screws, two per rod. Fastened into the studs, it holds up to fifty pounds per stud.
