Struggle to Survive

”Abba, my leg hurts…” A benign statement, but one that marks the first rumblings of an earthquake about to shake the life of the Milstein family.  Bentzy Milstein’s long road to recovery overlaps with the rapid onset of dementia in his grandfather, Dr. Nosson Milstein, a beloved Beitar dentist. Meanwhile, in Iran, the commander of the Quds Force of the Revolutionary Guards, General Esmail Qaani, is working on an apocalyptic project that will “solve” Israel’s ability to ever retaliate again. Decades earlier, far from Israel, parapsychological experiments of extrasensory powers are conducted at an obscure Institute in the Soviet Union. Can Yefim Pedotov figure out the secret motive behind the extravagantly funded Russian Institute?  And what will become of the Milsteins when the dreadful truth emerges? Struggle to Survive — a unique hybrid novel that blends a true, emunah-filled story with a multifaceted suspense plot.  The latest from P. Scharff, author of the bestselling Mind Games and Pillars of Smoke.  By P. Scharff
