Strontium Nitrate Sr(NO₃)₂

Premium Strontium Nitrate (Sr(NO₃)₂) – The Essential Oxidizer for Brilliant Crimson Reds & Competition-Grade Pyrotechnics Paint the night sky in vivid, saturated crimson with high-purity Strontium Nitrate – the premier oxidizer and color source that's the undisputed king of deep, ruby-red flames, stars, and effects in professional fireworks and display-grade compositions. This fine, bright white crystalline powder (99%+ pure, low-chloride and low-impurity grades available) supplies ~38% available oxygen while releasing strontium ions that, when paired with a strong chlorine donor (e.g., Parlon, PVC, or potassium perchlorate), form volatile SrCl molecules in the flame for that iconic, intense, non-fading red hue that outshines almost every other color in brightness and purity. Key Advantages: Unmatched red color depth — Produces the richest, purest ruby reds, carmine, and deep scarlet tones that dominate aerial shells, cakes, and mines High oxygen delivery — Supports bright, high-luminance flames and metal-fuel mixes for sparkling or long-burning red effects Superior compatibility — Blends seamlessly with perchlorates, Parlon, magnesium/aluminum, hexamine, dextrin, and binders in red star formulas Low hygroscopicity — Stores reliably with minimal moisture pickup; excellent for humid climates and long-term inventory Consistent & clean — Fine particle size for uniform dispersion, low ash, and batch-to-batch reliability that top pyro chemists demand Perfect For: Red star compositions — Core oxidizer/color agent in brilliant crimson, ruby, burgundy, and scarlet stars (cut, pumped, rolled, round, or comet-style) Aerial shells, cakes & mines — Creates standout red breaks, centers, pistils, and layered color effects that pop against dark skies Fountains, gerbs & wheels — Delivers dense, long-burning red sprays, drivers, and ground effects with professional intensity Hybrid & strobe effects — Enhances red-based strobes, glitter tails, or crackle inserts when combined with metals or fuels Military & signaling flares — Traditional component in red signal pyrotechnics and distress flares Competition & display fireworks — The oxidizer of choice for maximum red saturation in high-end shows A precise ratio (typically 40–60% in red star mixes, often with 10–25% chlorine donor) unleashes competition-level crimson brilliance — screen-mix, granulate with dextrin or alcohol/water, dry carefully, and watch your reds steal the show. Critical Safety Note: Strontium nitrate is a strong oxidizer and moderately toxic if ingested/inhaled — mixtures with fuels (especially metals or organics) are highly flammable and can be friction/impact sensitive. Handle with extreme care: use non-sparking tools, small test batches, full PPE (gloves, goggles, dust mask/respirator), avoid dust clouds, store cool/dry/separated from combustibles and acids, and strictly follow MSDS, pyro literature, and all local/national regulations (including storage limits and disposal rules). Strontium compounds require careful handling to prevent health risks. Dominate the darkness with radiant, unforgettable reds using Strontium Nitrate — the pyro essential trusted by elite builders for color purity, brightness, and jaw-dropping intensity.
