Strong Arm Floating Crab - Umpqua

Strong Arm Floating Crab – Umpqua Topwater Crab Pattern for Flats & Floating Weed Mats The Strong Arm Floating Crab was designed for one of the coolest sights in saltwater fly fishing: gamefish slurping crabs off the surface. When that happens, it’s time to snip off your heavy crab, tie on a floater, and wake them up. Created by Umpqua Signature Tyer Dave Skok, this pattern is built to fish on top around floating weed mats, surface debris, and shallow flats, where crabs often end up drifting and struggling. Since weed mats and surface crab opportunities usually come together, the fly includes an easily removable V-style weedguard, giving you protection when you need it—without locking you into it. Permit will fall for this pattern. A must-have for destination flats anglers fishing places like Belize, the Florida Keys, and the Yucatán.
