Strider - NES

Strider is a Capcom platformer for the NES starring a sword-wielding operative sent into enemy territory. The game mixes side-scrolling action with an espionage-style mission across Russia, Siberia, and the Lowlands. Cleaned, tested, and guaranteed to play. Authentic cartridge. Fast sword-based platforming centers on close-range attacks, enemy patrols, and traversal through hostile stages. The mission begins in Red Square before expanding to snow-covered Siberian mountains and jungle Lowlands. Story objectives focus on infiltrating the Red Army and recovering enemy secrets for the commander. Enemies include KGB attackers, environmental hazards, jungle tribes with spears and poison arrows, and the Grand Master of the Red Army. The NES version presents Strider as a mission-driven action game with named locations and objectives rather than a simple stage-by-stage arcade conversion. Its Cold War-inspired setting gives the platforming a distinct spy-action tone within Capcom’s 8-bit catalog.
