Stressless Elevator Ring

Add extra height and improved ease of use to your Stressless recliner. The Stressless Classic Elevator Ring raises your recliner by 1.25 inches and easily snaps into place with no tools required. Why Add an Elevator Ring? The Stressless Classic Elevator Ring is designed to improve seated comfort and make getting in and out of your recliner easier. By increasing the seat height, the chair can provide a more natural seated position and reduce strain on the knees, hips, and lower back. Leg Comfort For many users, having the knees positioned close to a 90 degree bend while seated tends to provide the most balanced and comfortable sitting posture. Raising the recliner height can help achieve this position and improve overall comfort during extended use. Sitting Down and Standing Up For users who have a particularly difficult time standing up from their recliner, a slightly more open knee angle greater than 90 degrees can also be comfortable and beneficial. Increasing the seat height may reduce the effort required to transition from sitting to standing. Many users choose to add an Elevator Ring after noticing that their hips sit lower than their knees while seated, which can make standing up more difficult. Raising the chair height can create a more supportive sitting posture and improve everyday comfort Post Surgery Recovering from knee, hip, back, or even shoulder surgery can make everyday movements more challenging. The Stressless Classic Elevator Ring raises the seat height by 1.25 inches, 2.25 inches, or up to 3.5 inches in approved configurations, helping create a more comfortable seating position and reducing the effort needed to sit down and stand up during recovery. Measuring Instructions Proper measurement is essential before ordering an Elevator Ring. To determine the correct size, measure the outside diameter of your recliner's existing plastic swivel ring located underneath the base of the chair. Do not measure the wood base or the elevator ring itself. Measure the maximum diameter of the plastic swivel ring. <-- This is your elevator ring size. The Matching Ottoman Elevator Ring Keeps You In Line A matching Elevator Ring for the ottoman is also available and fits all Stressless Classic footstools manufactured after March 1, 2004. While not required, adding a matching ottoman ring helps maintain the same ergonomic comfort and leg support you are accustomed to. Without the ottoman ring, the recliner will sit higher than the footstool, increasing the height difference between the two.
