Our soft, lightweight and ethically made basket is made of hand crocheted raffia, and is perfectly sized for kids hands. Kids will be thrilled to fill them with berries and flowers. They also look lovely styled on a spring or summer table, or used for a stroll to the farmers market. I fill mine with fruit and keep it in the kitchen all Spring long. Craftspring designed and produced these beautifully hand-crocheted baskets with an NGO in Madagascar. Their main mission is to reduce poverty and protect the environment. They work with farmers to restore land that has been deforested, and plant native grass and trees that not only support local wildlife but can also be harvested and turned into income generating products, such as our baskets.
