Stratum Waffle Pant

An old form, reworked for modern layers. The Stratum Waffle Pant begins with a familiar foundation and pushes it forward through material choice and intent. Waffle knits have long been trusted for their ability to move with the body and trap warmth through structure rather than bulk. The grid creates space between fabric and skin, forming micro air pockets that regulate heat while preserving breathability. What sets Stratum apart is the fabric itself. After an extended search, we selected a high wool content waffle knit that brings technical performance to a heritage construction. Seventy percent Australian merino wool provides natural thermoregulation, moisture management, and warmth even when damp. The remaining cotton tempers the fabric with durability and comfort, allowing it to be worn directly against skin without distraction. The result is a fabric that breathes, dries quickly, and adapts across conditions rather than locking you into one use case. Stratum is designed as a true base layer that refuses to stay hidden. It moves effortlessly from shell systems to everyday wear, functioning under technical layers in cold, exposed environments or standing on its own beneath denim, field pants, or workwear. It is a piece meant to transition without explanation. Flat lock seams reduce bulk and friction, supporting long days in motion. A simple drawcord waistband keeps the fit secure while remaining unobtrusive under layered systems. Cut and sewn in the USA, the Stratum Waffle Pant is a quiet cornerstone built for those who think in layers, not outfits.
