Strange Engineering Evolution Front Spindle Mount Brakes (Strange Aluminum Strut)

Successful drag racers know, you must go as fast as possible – as quickly as possible -then come to a halt even more quickly. The more horsepower and traction that you produce, the faster you go. The faster you go, the better your brakes had better be. Strange Brakes consist of three basic components; calipers, rotors and brake pads. Strange Drag Racing Brakes are made-up of these components. Designed Specifically For Drag Racing B4597WCE Evolution 1 DDM Spindle Mount Front Brake Kit 1987-present Strange Aluminum Struts With forged or billet spindle mount wheels Evolution S 11″ Dynamic Drive Mount (DDM) Stainless Steel Rotors • DDM system secures the rotor and allows for rotor thermal expansion – drastically reducing warping, coning, and cracking which are common with bolt retention designs • DDM billet aluminum hat design is secured by an internal Spirolox, eliminating heavy bolts and hardware- further reducing rotating weight • Evolution S 11″ reduces rotating weight by .5 lbs. per rotor and delivers 12% more braking vs 10″ rotor • Evolution S rotors are machined and fully ground from Stainless Steel that exhibits 48% greater yield strength at 1,000° F compared to carbon steel- further maintaining rotor integrity • Stainless steel Evolution S rotors are highly resistant to heat and corrosion • Unique Aero Slot design reduces rotating weight and promotes even heat dissipation- compared to common round drilled holes • Scalloped design further reduces rotating weight • 11″ O.D. / .280″ thickness (Discard at .260″) Single Piston Billet Evolution 1 Calipers  • Spreading stiffness increased 31% vs Pro Series • Computer finite element analysis (FEA) optimized calipers – Evolution 1 design improves piston retraction, pedal feel and stiffness resulting in improved pad wear and exemplary braking efficiency • Stainless steel pistons mitigate heat transfer to brake fluid • Reverse dish pressure vessel piston maximizes stiffness • High retraction piston and O-ring design to eliminate drag during acceleration • 1.750″ piston for increased clamping force Slider Assemblies • Garlock bearings provide smooth operation • Polished & plated slide pins resist corrosion DTC-30 Semi Metallic Brake Pads  • Best compound suited for front application • Excellent cold holding capabilities Enhanced Billet Aluminum Caliper Mounts • Enhanced mount improves rigidity, pedal feel and improves pads life • Preassembled with calipers and slder assemblies Brake Kit Weight 13.4 Lbs. Brake Hoses and Lines Are Not Included Calipers are tapped 1/8″ NPT and supplied with a straight male 3 AN fitting Use Teflon® tape or liquid on the pipe threads of the fitting Leave a few threads from the tip uncoated This will avoid depositing material inside the caliper Torque fitting to 25 ft lbs Instructions HERE
