Storm Next Factor

Close-Out Item: All Sales are Final   Storm Next Factor High-Performance Balls The Storm Next Factor brings one of the most iconic ball lines in bowling history into the modern era. When the original X-Factor debuted in 2002, it set a new benchmark for explosive backend motion and the unmistakable skid-flip reaction that defined Storm performance for years. More than two decades later, Storm’s Innovation Team has reimagined that legendary motion for today’s game. The Next Factor blends Storm’s high-tech heritage with the advanced materials and ball motion characteristics modern bowlers rely on. It glides effortlessly through the front part of the lane, reads the midlane with confident stability, and unleashes a dynamic, continuous move through the pins. When it’s time to open up the lane and let your angles stretch, the Next Factor is built to respond with purpose, honoring the past while driving performance into the future. Wrapped in R3S, a reactive coverstock positioned between the acclaimed R2S and TX-16 formulas, the Next Factor is engineered for an ideal blend of traction and downlane flip. R3S enhances the ball’s ability to stay clean through the heads while offering a reliable midlane read and a decisive, angular finish. This cover was selected specifically to amplify the strengths of the core, creating a rare combination of predictability, responsiveness, and powerful continuation. At its center lies the RAD-TQ, a modern redesign of one of the most influential asymmetric cores in Storm’s history. Inspired by the original RAD (Radical Accelerating Disk) technology, the RAD-TQ maintains the core traits that made the X-Factor line legendary—high RG, high differential, and a controlled PSA—while using updated materials for greater stability and energy retention. The result is a core that gets down the lane with remarkable ease, stores energy efficiently, and unloads a devastating backend motion optimized for today’s higher-friction environments and modern release styles. The Storm Next Factor is more than a revival—it’s a true evolution of a classic, delivering the clean fronts, sharp breakpoint, and relentless continuation that once shaped a generation, now tuned for the demands of today’s competitive bowler.
