The Stooges / The Stooges (Original Master Recording)

The Stooges – The Stooges (Mobile Fidelity 180g 45RPM 2LP, Elektra 75 Edition) Loud, raw, and unapologetically primal, The Stooges erupted in 1969 as a shock to the system — a record that laid the groundwork for punk long before the term existed. Fueled by Iggy Pop’s sneer and the Asheton brothers’ unrefined power, the Detroit quartet turned chaos into art with “I Wanna Be Your Dog,” “No Fun,” and “1969,” capturing a restless generation’s disillusionment and defiance. Sourced from the original analog master tapes and pressed at Fidelity Record Pressing, Mobile Fidelity’s numbered-edition 180g 45RPM 2LP set celebrates Elektra’s 75th anniversary with visceral clarity and thundering realism. The fuzz, grit, and raw energy of every riff surge with newfound presence, letting The Stooges’s revolutionary minimalism and unfiltered attitude shake the walls like never before — pure, feral rock preserved in its most explosive form.
