Stonestreet Founder's Edition Bourbon Whiskey

Stonestreet Founder’s Edition Bourbon Whiskey is a polished, modern Kentucky straight bourbon that balances elegance with approachability. Crafted as the inaugural release from the Stonestreet brand, it showcases a smooth wheated profile, generous sweetness, and refined structure. Limited in scale and carefully aged, this small-batch bourbon appeals to enthusiasts who appreciate soft, fruit-forward wheated bourbons with layered depth and a collectible first-release pedigree. Origins & Craftsmanship Stonestreet Founder’s Edition marks the debut bourbon release from the Stonestreet brand, connected to the renowned Jackson family, whose legacy includes both fine wine production and champion thoroughbred racing in Kentucky. The whiskey reflects the same pursuit of excellence that defines the family’s ventures in agriculture and racing. The bourbon is produced in Kentucky and crafted as a small-batch wheated bourbon, meaning wheat replaces rye as the secondary grain in the mash bill. This choice results in a rounder, softer, and slightly sweeter flavor profile compared with traditional rye-based bourbons. The mash bill for the inaugural batch consists of approximately: 70% corn 21% wheat 9% malted barley This grain recipe emphasizes sweetness and texture while maintaining classic bourbon structure. The whiskey is aged a minimum of five years in new charred oak barrels, allowing the spirit to develop depth while preserving the bright fruit character typical of wheated bourbons. The inaugural release was produced from only 131 barrels, reinforcing its status as a limited, small-batch introduction to the brand. Bottled at 94 proof (47% ABV), it offers a balance between richness and drinkability.  Tasting Profile Nose: Soft caramel and honeyed corn open the aroma, followed by vanilla bean, toasted oak, and gentle stone-fruit sweetness. Palate: Silky and rounded with flavors of baked peach, vanilla cream, toffee, and light baking spice, supported by the mellow sweetness characteristic of wheated bourbons. Finish: Smooth and lingering with notes of warm oak, vanilla, and a delicate hint of toasted almond.
