Diatomaceous Stone Drying Mat — 15.7×11.8 in

A slab of diatomaceous stone that pulls water off your feet, your dishes, or your counter in three to five seconds. No fabric, no plastic tray, no sour smell. TL;DR $49.99 diatomaceous stone mat — bath mat and dish drying mat in one 15.7 × 11.8 in — fits in front of a tub or beside a sink 3 to 5 second absorption, no machine wash, sand to refresh Sanding pad included We keep one in front of the master shower and one on the kitchen counter beside the sink. The fabric mats we used to use went sour by Wednesday and we were running them through the wash twice a week. This one we hose off in the sink once a month, sand the surface every couple months, and that's the entire maintenance. One Mat. Two Daily Jobs. As a bath mat — in front of the shower or tub. Step out wet, walk away dry. The diatomaceous earth surface absorbs water from the soles of your feet on contact, so the puddle stops before it migrates. The mat sits flat, won't curl at the corners, and the textured underside grips tile, vinyl, and stone floors without rubber backing that breaks down. As a dish drying mat — on the kitchen counter. Park it next to the sink for wet glasses, hand-washed pans, and just-rinsed cutting boards. They dry on the stone instead of on a fabric mat that ends up sour by Friday. Don't stand the mat up against radiators or in direct sun for long periods. Frequently Asked Questions Does the same mat really work in the bathroom and the kitchen? Yes — the material works the same way in both spots. Most customers buy two: one for the bathroom, one for the kitchen counter. How do I clean it? Rinse under the tap. If it looks dingy, sand the surface with the included pad to reopen the pores. No soap, no machine wash. Will it crack if I drop a glass on it? The mat is solid stone, so a hard impact on a corner can chip it. Treat it like a ceramic plate. Day-to-day kitchen and bathroom use is no problem. Does it absorb soap and oil too, or just water? Mostly water. Soap and oil can darken the surface over time — sand the area lightly to bring it back. How long does one mat last? 3 to 5 years of daily use with quarterly sanding. The stone wears down very slowly — most customers replace it because it chipped, not because it stopped absorbing. Is diatomaceous earth safe around food? Yes. It's food-grade, naturally non-toxic, and chemically inert. Same material some people use to filter pool water and grain. Frequently asked questions How is this different from a cotton dish mat?Cotton mats wick water (takes 4–6 hours to fully dry, machine-washable). Stone absorbs water (2–3 seconds), evaporates from the surface in 10 minutes, and never needs washing — just wipe-clean. Stone lasts years vs months. Will it crack or chip?Diatomaceous earth is brittle. Drop it on tile and it can chip. Handle like ceramic — gentle placement, never slammed into the counter. With care, lifetime durability.
