Stoic 4 Virtues, Gold Pendant

At the heart of this solid gold pendant is the Compass Rose, a timeless symbol of guidance, with each point thoughtfully aligned to one of The Four Stoic Virtues—Wisdom, Courage, Justice, and Temperance. The 4 Virtues serve as a man’s “guide to living a good life,” with each virtue providing direction through life’s challenges and choices. Wisdom, embodied by an Owl, points the way to insight and understanding, encouraging the pursuit of knowledge and thoughtful judgment. Courage, symbolized by a Lion, represents strength and bravery, guiding one to face adversity and uphold principles even when difficult. Justice, illustrated by Scales, reflects fairness and balance, reminding us to act with integrity and uphold what is right. Temperance, shown by a pouring wine cup, embodies moderation and self-control, directing us to live with restraint and avoid excess. Together, these virtues form a moral compass, inspiring you to stay on a path of integrity and purpose. On the reverse side, the Roman Emperor and Stoic Philosopher Marcus Aurelius’s call to action, “Waste No More Time Arguing What a Good Man Should Be - BE ONE,” reinforces the pursuit of virtue, urging you to transform ideals into action and live a life of true character.
