Stirrup 1 Single Wall Light

The Original BTC Stirrup 1 Single Wall Light captures industrial chic sophistication through its distinctive design inspired by the searchlight on the back of a toy lorry, bringing playful yet serious functionality to contemporary and traditional interiors alike. This thoughtfully engineered wall fixture features a positionable aluminum shade with white interior that reflects light beautifully while providing precise directional control for both task and ambient lighting applications. Available in three sophisticated finishes - black, white, and natural aluminum - each with stamped design details and intricate accents that honor classic industrial aesthetics. Whether installed beside beds where the adjustable shade creates perfect reading light, mounted in hallways where the industrial character adds personality without overwhelming the space, positioned above workspaces where focused illumination enhances productivity, or used in commercial spaces where the robust design complements urban aesthetics, the Stirrup 1 delivers both practical lighting and authentic industrial style. This wall light showcases authentic British metalworking using centuries-old spinning techniques inherited from London's East India Docks heritage. Each spun aluminum shade begins as a sheet metal disc formed through high-speed spinning and hand-applied pressure, creating the distinctive searchlight profile that defines this industrial collection. The positionable mechanism ensures smooth adjustment and lasting durability, while the black and white cotton braided cable adds classic finishing touches and authentic manufacturing character. The white interior maximizes light reflection for optimal illumination efficiency. E26 compatibility supports both LED and incandescent options with full dimming capability, and UL listing ensures safe North American installation. Original BTC, established in 1990 by Peter Bowles, designs with quality, detail, and respect for industrial heritage while celebrating the transformation of utilitarian forms into sophisticated lighting solutions. The Stirrup 1 reflects the brand's passion for finding inspiration in everyday objects and childhood memories, creating lighting that feels both nostalgic and thoroughly contemporary. Through traditional metalworking techniques and thoughtful attention to adjustability and authentic industrial details, Original BTC helps create interiors that celebrate both heritage craftsmanship and industrial design innovation while delivering lighting that adds personality and character to any space with unmistakable British industrial elegance.
