Sterling Silver Pendant with Garnets

This beautiful pendant is made of sterling silver precious metal clay in a mold I created from an antique button. Sterling silver precious metal clay is made from reclaimed silver. Once kiln-fired, it has a slightly higher silver content at 96% than traditional sterling. After firing, the piece is polished and then oxidized to bring out the design. Garnet is the birthstone for January and symbolizes strength, vitality and grounding. Some believe it provides the wearer with protection and it is often associated with friendship. The pendant measures just over 1/2" in diameter after firing. Two sizes of garnet beads dangle from the bottom of the pendant and the sterling silver chain is accented by an additional garnet dangle. The pendant is shown on a 16" chain, but an 18" chain of the same style may be substituted at no additional cost. Your necklace will ship in a small kraft paper box in a padded envelope.
