The Sterilmed BluFlex DVT Prophylaxis System is a non-invasive intermittent pneumatic compression (IPC) device designed to prevent and reduce deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a potentially life-threatening condition caused by blood clots in deep veins, especially in immobile or post-surgical patients. The system applies controlled inflation pressure through soft, pliable single-patient-use compression garments for the legs or feet, helping to augment venous blood flow and stimulate fibrinolysis, thereby reducing the risk of clot formation.
