Stella's Mulling Spice

description   This wonderful holiday spice is named after our grandmother, Stella. She was the one who first introduced us to the magic of this blend, filling the home with the cozy aroma of cinnamon, cloves, and citrus when we were just kids. Back then it was mulled cider, but now the holiday season isn’t complete without several batches of Stella’s mulled wine. Keep a pouch on hand for parties, family gatherings, or those impromptu cozy nights by the fire. Flavor Notes Warm • Spiced • Comforting How to Use Place 2 tablespoons of Stella’s Mulling Spice in a large tea infuser or tie up in cheesecloth. For Wine: Simmer 1 quart of red wine with 1/3–½ cup sugar and spices for up to 20 minutes. For Cider: Simmer 1 quart of apple cider with spices for up to 20 minutes. Remove spices before serving. Enjoy hot or chilled over ice. For extra cheer, spike your cider with a splash of rum or brandy.
