Dorothy’s Dagger: A tribute to Dorothy Parker

Wit & Bitterness: Dorothy’s Dagger  A sharp-tongued, no-nonsense brew—bittersweet, fiery, and laced with charm, just like Dorothy herself. Ingredients: Licorice Root – Darkly sweet, lingering with knowing sarcasm. Sarsaparilla – A rich, smoky undercurrent, like the bite of an old scandal. Rosemary – Sharp and clever, a fragrant nod to quick wit. Ginger Root – Spicy and unapologetic, much like her words. Dried Orange Peel – A citrus twist, bright and unexpected. Peppermint – A cool, collected finish—because even barbed words should be refreshing. Brewing Instructions: Heat water to 200°F (93°C) – warm enough for a little heat, but not enough to burn bridges. Steep for 5–7 minutes, letting the flavors spar like wits at a literary salon. Strain and sip—add a touch of honey for charm, or a splash of whiskey if the night calls for it. Optional: Serve over ice for a cold, calculating refreshment. Tasty Notes: First Sip: A darkly sweet entrance, licorice and sarsaparilla leading the charge. Mid-Palate: Ginger and rosemary jab like a perfectly timed retort. Finish: A lingering citrus and peppermint cool-down—because wit always deserves a graceful exit. Best Enjoyed When: Penning a delightfully scathing poem with a gin martini nearby. Throwing shade at a party full of insufferable socialites. Making an entrance, turning heads, and leaving them wondering what just happened. A brew as bold, brilliant, and biting as the woman who inspired it.  Herbtentions (Tea Gifts) come wrapped in tissue paper and/or cloth with lace.
