Steinbeck Brew

A simple, honest infusion—warm, steady, and familiar, like an old farmstead at dusk. This is the taste of dust settling after a long day, of hands wrapped around a chipped mug, of stories told in the quiet spaces between toil and rest. Ingredients: Milky Oats – Soft, nourishing, and steady, like the land itself. Sarsaparilla – A warm, rooty sweetness, carrying echoes of simpler times. Chamomile – A floral hush, as gentle as a mother’s voice. Cinnamon Chips – A flicker of warmth, steady as a campfire glow. Licorice Root – A smooth, lingering note, like the last words of a long story. Brew Upon Your Favor: Heat water to 200°F (93°C) – warm enough to extract the depth, but not to rush it. Steep for 7–10 minutes, letting the flavors settle like dust on a country road. Strain and sip—add a drizzle of honey if the night is long, or drink it plain if you like things honest. Optional: Drink at dusk, watching the fields darken, the sky stretching wide. Tasty Notes: First Sip: A creamy, oat-like softness, rich and grounding. Mid-Palate: Sarsaparilla and chamomile weave a gentle sweetness, familiar and steady. Finish: Cinnamon and licorice linger—warm, unhurried, full of old wisdom. Best Enjoyed When: Sitting on a porch, watching the wind roll through the fields. Reading The Grapes of Wrath, feeling the weight of the road beneath your feet. Knowing that even the hardest days end with a warm cup and a quiet night. A tea for the ones who work hard, love deeply, and find beauty in life’s simplest things.  Herbtentions (Tea Gifts) come wrapped in tissue paper and/or cloth with lace.
