Steering Coupler Replacement U-joint - E46

The factory rubber steering coupler on the E46 is known to degrade over time, introducing compliance that leads to vague steering feel and delayed response. Our Low-Profile Steering Shaft U-Joint replaces the rubber coupler with a chrome moly, needle-bearing universal joint, eliminating unwanted flex while maintaining smooth, consistent articulation. The reduced-diameter design improves clearance in tight areas and keeps weight to a minimum. This is a direct, bolt-in solution that simplifies the steering shaft and delivers a more precise, connected steering feel—especially noticeable during track use. Features: Replaces factory rubber steering coupler Chrome moly construction Needle-bearing universal joint for smooth operation Low-profile design for improved clearance Reduces compliance for sharper steering response Bolt-in installation A straightforward upgrade for drivers looking to remove unnecessary flex from the E46 steering system. Fitment: E46 - 323Ci, 323i, 325Ci, 325i, 328Ci, 328i, 330Ci, 330i & M3. Will not fit RHD cars. *This is a performance part and should be installed by a professional. For race use only. Inspect before each race weekend. ** Please note our u-joints are made of chromoly steel. While this material has excellent strength characteristics, it is not as corrosion resistant as stainless steel.  Depending on the vehicle and the climate exposure they are susceptible to surface rust.
