The brushed high pile face was chosen for one reason, which is contact noise: your legs brushing on the walk in, your knee bumping tree or climbing stick while you set up, the sound your pant makes against the seat when you settle in. It's built for 35°F-50°F and dead calm, when nothing in the treetops or on the ground is covering for you and a buck at twenty yards hears everything you do. Highly wind resistant, not windproof. When it's blowing, wear your windproof layer. When it's dead still, this is the one.
