The Omron Sentech STC-R640PWJ remote head camera is a proven solution for industrial analog imaging applications requiring compact size, flexibility, and stable NTSC output. Built around the Sony ICX228AK 1/4" CCD sensor, the STCR640PWJ delivers 480 TV lines of resolution with excellent signal-to-noise performance (>48 dB), making it ideal for environments where consistent image quality is critical. Its remote head design (Ø10mm) allows installation in confined or hard-to-reach areas, while the separate CCU (camera control unit) provides robust processing, control, and connectivity. With RS-232C control, users can fine-tune image parameters such as gamma, gain, shutter speed, and white balance. This camera is especially valuable in legacy NTSC systems, OEM integrations, and applications where analog video reliability is preferred over IP or digital interfaces. Key Features: 1/4" Sony ICX228AK CCD image sensor 480 TV line horizontal resolution NTSC analog output (composite & Y/C) Ultra-compact remote head (Ø10mm) for tight installations 2:1 interlaced scanning at 30 fps Low-light sensitivity: 1.99 lux @ F1.2 RS-232C controllable DSP (10-bit processing) Adjustable gamma (32 steps) AGC and manual gain control Electronic shutter: 1/60 to 1/10,000 sec Micro lens mount with C-mount adapter Compact CCU design (51 x 51 x 55.5 mm) Applications: Industrial machine vision systems Medical and endoscopy imaging Embedded vision systems Robotics and automation Surveillance and security retrofits OEM camera integrations Inspection and quality control systems
