STARKE MORPH Sandpaper Disc

STARKE Morph — Adaptive Surface Abrasive Soft Foam Interface Disc for Gelcoat, Marine Paint, and Clearcoat Refinement Gelcoat and marine paint don't forgive sloppy finishing. The surface either comes out right or it doesn't — and the abrasive you use in the final steps before buffing determines which one it is. Morph was built for those steps. A knitted fabric-on-foam disc engineered for high-end surface refinement on gelcoat, marine topcoats, and clearcoat, Morph delivers the controlled cut, consistent scratch pattern, and swirl-free finish that professional marine detailers and refinishers demand before the buffer ever touches the boat. Built for Gelcoat and Marine Paint Gelcoat is unforgiving. It's harder than automotive clearcoat, prone to haze from inconsistent abrasive contact, and there's limited material to work with before you're through to the substrate. Morph's even contact distribution and P-graded silicon carbide grain give you a predictable, uniform scratch pattern at every grit — the kind that buffs out cleanly without leaving sub-surface haze that comes back after polishing. Marine paint and topcoats demand the same precision. Whether you're leveling orange peel on a freshly sprayed topside, refining wet sanding scratches before a final cut polish, or prepping a surface for ceramic coating, Morph gives you the control to do it right without burning through or leaving uneven marks. Adaptive Flex Interface Morph's flexible foam backing conforms to the compound curves, transitions, and hull geometry that make marine finishing different from flat-panel work. Consistent abrasive contact across a curved surface — no bridging, no edge bite, no high spots. The disc follows the hull, not just the flat sections of it. Knitted Fabric-on-Foam Construction The knitted fabric layer between the foam and abrasive distributes cutting pressure evenly across the full disc face, eliminating the hot spots and chatter that cause uneven haze on gelcoat. Smooth, even contact from edge to edge on every pass. Silicon Carbide Abrasive P-graded silicon carbide delivers fast, predictable cutting and a consistent scratch pattern across the life of the disc. Sharp, clean, and well-suited to wet sanding applications — silicon carbide performs especially well on hard surfaces like gelcoat where you need a controlled cut without excessive heat buildup. Optimized for Wet Sanding Morph is purpose-built for wet use — the preferred method for gelcoat and marine paint work. Water keeps the surface cool, extends disc life, and produces a smoother finish than dry sanding at equivalent grits. Less heat means less risk to sensitive marine finishes, longer sessions without performance drop, and less material consumed per repair. Grip Attachment Hook and loop mounting for fast pad changes on any standard grip sander. Available Grits: P500, P1000, P2000, P3000 Pack Size: 15 discs / box Sizes: 6", 5", 3" Attachment: Hook & Loop (Grip) Best For: Marine gelcoat refinement and repair, yacht topcoat and marine paint finishing, pre-polish and pre-coating surface prep, scratch removal and surface leveling, automotive clearcoat refinement, and any professional finishing environment where surface quality and consistency are non-negotiable. Where the boat meets the buffer — Morph gets the surface ready.
