About the Badge The Stargaze on a Quilt Badge combines the joys of quilting with the appreciation of astronomy. This badge encourages scouts to engage with the natural world and use their handmade quilts in a practical, enjoyable way, fostering a connection between their crafting skills and their outdoor experiences. Badge Requirements Learn basic astronomy, including how to identify at least five constellations and the stories behind them. Create a small quilt or use an existing one that can be easily transported for outdoor activities. Plan and participate in a stargazing event, bringing the quilt along to use during the observation. Badge Options Embroidered Patch The embroidered patch consists of high-quality embroidery on a twill backing. The patch measures 2″ x 2″.
