Starbond Black Medium-Thick CA Glue

Starbond Black Medium-Thick Super Glue is specifically engineered for woodworkers who need to make large repairs or create bold accents. Its syrup-like viscosity (500 cps) allows for precise positioning for 1-3 minutes before the glue sets. This makes it ideal for more intricate woodturning tasks and repairs where accuracy is crucial. Features: Jet-Black Finish: It dries to a seamless jet-black finish, ideal for repairing and accenting dark woods, inlays, and surfaces. Medium-Thick Viscosity: With a viscosity of 500 cPs2 , it offers excellent control for filling larger cracks, voids, and substantial gaps without excessive flow. This viscosity is better suited for larger knots, voids, and more significant repairs compared to medium black super glue, which is better for small cracks and tight spaces. Impact Resistance and Flexibility: The rubber-toughened formula provides durability and prevents cracking, even in malleable environments. Extended Positioning Time: With up to three minutes of positioning time, you have ample opportunity to ensure perfect alignment of components before the bond sets. Ideal for Detailed Repairs: This glue is perfect for repairing cracks, voids, and filling inclusions in wood with greater control than thinner glues. Precision Bonding: It’s excellent for bonding knife handles, gemstones, and inlays with accuracy in your turned pieces Gap-Filling Capability: While not as thick as the “Gap Filler” formula, its medium-thick consistency offers strong bonding and gap-filling capabilities for various woodworking and repair applications. Create High-Polish Finishes: It can also be used in creating high-polish finishes on stones and petrified wood, which may be relevant for mixed-media woodturning projects. Enhanced Strength on Smooth Surfaces: For the strongest bond, on smooth surfaces like pen tubes, lightly sand or scuff the area before applying the glue to increase surface area. Faster Curing with Accelerator: Pair Starbond Medium-Thick Super Glue with Starbond Accelerator to significantly speed up the drying time to just 15-30 seconds. Bonds a wide range of materials: wood, metal, rubber, ceramics, leather, carbon fiber, fiberglass, PVC, and more. Made in small batches for guaranteed freshness and long shelf life. 2 oz.
