Nine Patch (variant) Quilt Unidentified Quilt Maker Circa 1910 62 x 76 inches Origin Unknown; Collected in North Carolina The colors, the hand quilting designs, and the triple sashing strongly suggest a Southern United States origin for this beauty.  Part of an important California collection I just acquired, the quilt was found in North Carolina, and I'm betting it was also made there.  Kinda classic North Carolina or near-by... This variation of Nine Patch is in very good condition save for a couple of blocks with surface dirt and some discoloration. (See photos).  The binding is a bit rough, too.
